Our Chorley depot welcomes another new truck!
The team at Lavelle’s are pleased to take delivery of a brand new, front end loader vehicle (FEL), courtesy of west Pennine truck, Trafford Park.
The latest addition is a Scania Super series, P420 FEL vehicle fitted with underbody weighing from Moba. The vehicle boasts Scanians latest 13 litre ultra efficient engine, reducing the impact on the environment. The truck has also been specified with the largest tailgate door, allowing for more waste to be tipped into the vehicle, reducing trips to tip the waste. Alongside this the vehicle has been fitted with Aluminium rims, reducing the overall vehicle weight, increasing payload and reducing fuel consumption and pollution.
As the vehicle is fitted with trade approved under body weighing, customers can receive detailed reports of their waste, showing the weight of each collections or area. The reports can be used to track recycling rates, make improvements and track carbon footprint.
Operations Manager Sam Lavelle says “this is a great addition to our fleet, it strengthens our FEL services and allows us to keep up with a rising demand. The Scania products and back up allows us to remain the number 1 service provider in the Northwest. This new investment is in line with our new fleet policy, we aim to run the most modern fleet of waste collection vehicles in the Northwest, this is something we have been able to do since our start in 2016.”
The new Euro 6 vehicle has been delivered into our new Chorley depot and will be used to service customers in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. With an increasing demand for our services across Chorley, Preston, Blackburn and surrounding areas, more vehicles have been ordered to facilitate our continued growth.
